Absurd Pirate's Micro Blog

Went and saw Ed Sheeran a few days ago, it was a pretty killer concert. I'm not huge on Ed Sheeran (I don't dislike him, it's just not my tempo), but I recognize artistic talent when I see it. The whole concert was just him and loop pedals, and so he would take his acoustic and do every sound with it, from the kick drum to the guitar chords. He layered vocals to create a harmony, beatboxed at some point. It was crazy good. It was only limited to the fact he played a LOT of slow songs, so I was dead tired by the end of it. He's also pretty funny. He fucked up the order of songs he was playing and was like "this is how you know this is live, I'm playing the wrong song". My wife had a great time, and I'm glad since this concert was mostly for her. It's her favorite concert to date. While I respect Sheeran's impressive musical artistry, my favorite concerts are still Linkin Park and Green Day's. I lost my voice at both of those concerts.

Added some new DVDs to my collection. Been wanting to watch Cat in the Hat for some reason… movie is completely unhinged and I love it.

Some new acquisitions: The Great Dictator (top 5 movie for me) on DVD, Tombstone (#1 movie) on VHS, and Forza Motorsport 3 on XBOX 360

I’m getting old man. I started playing some Modern Warfare 2019, and am getting absolutely BLASTED by these Ritalin-riddled kids. They’re tweaking the fuck out. Like chill bro, it’s an almost 10 year old game, you don’t gotta go this hard.

I added some pink laces to my shoes. I love the look of them. Got inspired by a Green Day music video a long time ago and finally did it.

Beat the Dawnguard DLC recently on my modded PC playthrough of Skyrim. I played a bit of my vanilla run on my XBOX One with my character Slaps-His-Nuts. I completely forgot how goofy this character is. Carrying a ring called FALCON PAWNCH that does 1000 points of unarmed damage. Can't wait to turn him into a vampire and get my hands on the Force but for magical vampires and yeet a giant off a cliff.

Saw Iron Lung last night. Been waiting for it to come out for 2 years now, and it did not disappoint. As both a fan of Markiplier and the Iron Lung universe it was really great to see what Mark was able to pull off.
